ESR 13 - Mitochondria targeted ROS mediated polypeptide-drug conjugate delivery platforms

This project aims to develop a polypeptide-based conjugate that specifically targets the mitochondria and allows the controlled release of a drug through a mitochondria-specific stimulus. This innovative approach hopes to meet unmet clinical needs in conditions involving dysfunctional mitochondria function by promoting the site-specific release of drugs that will increase efficacy and minimize any potential side-effects.
