ESR 3 - Transport and synthesis with chemically fuelled molecular motors

Ke joined David Leigh group, the University of Manchester, in September 2020 as a PhD student, working on design and construction of programmable synthetic molecular systems. Sophisticated and efficient biomolecular building blocks like DNAs and proteins have been the inspiration of constructing synthetic molecules, and artificial molecules inspired by bio-system are expected to realized similar or more advanced functions. The main project involves building complex molecules with topology and molecular machines which are expected to carry out specific work.
